The Plaza at 300 Ashland
The Plaza at 300 Ashland is a generously scaled, modern urban square designed with maximum flexibility for multicultural programming. Located in the heart of the borough’s Cultural District, this inviting public open space offers a much needed reprieve from the dense development and high energy of Downtown Brooklyn. Facilitating the great urban pastime of people-watching, the Plaza provides residents and passers-by an opportunity to sit, relax, eat, and gather. The Plaza is also host to programming featuring theatrical performances, films, pop-up markets, and outdoor dining, all of which contribute to a greater sense of vitality and place.

As with so much of Grain’s portfolio, the Plaza was designed with sustainability at the forefront. Green design elements include light-colored paving to minimize heat absorption, permeable paving for water infiltration at planting areas, and dark sky-compliant lighting. Self-sustaining, native plantings further support the local ecology, improve access to shade, and minimize long-term maintenance needs
